Our five-step Adaptive Process utilizes proven methodology to connect design talent and innovation with the parameters of budget, timing, and execution.

We form a joint client/Sparks team, and during this initial stage we collect information that will be used to define the project requirements, guide and evaluate the creative stages, establish an appropriate scope of services, and develop a creative brief. This step is largely about listening and asking the kinds of questions that will help to shape and clarify management’s expectations. It also begins to build the platform for the discovery of new opportunities that go beyond the solutions to immediate problems. Using the knowledge gained to define the best approach, we bring together specialists from inside the firm’s multidisciplinary group, and occasionally outside resources to form a work plan of parallel and integrated activities.
Design

In this step, alternative concepts are explored in visual sketch or mock-up form. In our experience, there is a high correlation between the quantity of ideas produced and the quality of the ideas. We expect to undertake a ranging exploration of ideas and conduct combinations of internal critiques and joint team work sessions. Cost and feasibility parameters are checked as this step concludes.
Develop
- Design Development
Concepts are refined through a series of internal critiques and joint team work sessions. We study all elements individually and formalize them into a comprehensive design presentation for review and approval. We then check cost estimates against the budget parameters set for the project.
Document

- Consultant Coordination
We produce comprehensive contract documents and specifications and coordinate them with other consulting disciplines for authority approvals, bidding or negotiating contracts, and the construction process. Our documents are recognized as being among the most comprehensive in the industry.
Deliver
- Contract Administration
We provide comprehensive support services in the administration and coordination of contract documents and the construction process. Our knowledge of materials, techniques, methodology, resources, cost factors, and site experience results in controlling and meeting our clients’ budget, schedule, and quality objectives consistently across a variety of retail channels.
