This 122,000-square-foot, two-level store for Neiman Marcus is located in the high-end mall of The Shops at La Cantera, San Antonio, Texas. The store design has a spacious, open plan with a very contemporary feel. It has a subtle recall of local history and architecture through the use of mosaics and bold massing of surface, texture, and color. A singular design vocabulary was used, with carefully chosen materials, focal points of fine art, effective lighting, and attention to detail.

Throughout the store is an expansive use of stone flooring, and a high priority was given to lighting, both of which are key to the Neiman Marcus design strategy for luxury retail. Bold massing of color accents is achieved through hand-applied tinted Venetian plasters.
