Kid’s Field Trip Store

Merchandised for school groups on field trips, the Kid’s Field Trip Store packs a punch in just 350-square-feet. Using the museum’s mission, “Exploring the Earth and Its People,” as the theme, our design team planned a fun, efficient layout that allows large groups to shop, pay for purchases, and move on in a short period of time.

Designers created three sides that provide visual display windows and added 20 feet of merchandising space to the formerly open-sided structure. The new walls also allow for brightly colored graphics on the interior and exterior. Interior images of animals and the Earth appear to be hand-colored with crayon, while large-format graphics on the exterior are simple, bold, and colorful.
